Crème de Cornell is Cornell’s premier food magazine that publishes semesterly, conceptualized and written entirely by students.
We are a group of passionate food enthusiasts who come together to publish a diversity of recipes, articles, and stories. Food, a universal interest, allows us to draw on our experiences at Cornell, the Ithaca community, and even the international realm.

Hi, my name is Megan, I’m a senior studying food science from Westchester, New York. Food has always been something that excites me and I’m glad to have all the foodies here in Créme who feel similarly! I occasionally dabble in cooking and baking and I love trying new restaurants and ranking them on Beli (my account is @meganchin). Outside of my love for food, I also enjoy running, reading, photography, and keeping up with tennis.

Hii I’m Demetra (Demi), the Vice President of Créme! I’m a junior from Beacon, NY, majoring in food science. Outside of Stocking Hall, I have a creative love for photography, capturing the ways food nurtures connection. I love to adventure, and ice cream is always the one thing I’ll try wherever I go. I’m so excited to continue sharing my love for food and community through Créme this year <3

Hey everyone! I’m Giuliana, the Managing Editor for Crème. I’m a senior from Northern Pennsylvania, studying Comparative Literature and Spanish. Coming from a multicultural family, holidays and special events were always filled with a rich variety of food, from fresh ceviche to steaming French onion soup, or even a cheesy skillet of ddakgalbi. My goal in life is to try a traditional dish from every country in the world. After a semester abroad in Paris, I was surprised by how many I already crossed off! Outside of writing and editing for Crème, I play the violin in the Cornell Chamber Orchestra and love photography—especially capturing the beautiful wildlife and forests in my hometown.

Hello! My name is Bryan and I’m one of the Co-Layout directors & Graphic Design Lead for Crème. I’m a senior from NY studying Environment and Sustainability and minoring in Education. My favorite food has to be bread, and I’ve recently found my love for 塩パン (Shiopan or salt bread). When I'm not eating, I'm probably baking, catching up on movies, or stargazing on the slope. I love to meet new people, so do not hesitate to reach out to chat about anything. I'd love to hear what you have to say over a basket of freshly baked bread :)

Hihi I'm Ashley and I'm the co-Layout Director and co-Graphic Design Lead this year! I'm a sophomore from Delray Beach, FL and I'm double majoring in Microbiology and Plant Sciences. I love everything about the artistry, chemistry, and community around food! Aside from cooking and baking, I'll likely be found playing with my cats, pressing flowers, listening to music, or continuing my search for the best matcha in Ithaca :)

I’m a sophomore from São Paulo, Brazil and majoring in Hotel Administration. I took a gap year and got a patisserie diplome at Le Cordon Bleu. So even though I love to bake, I love taking photos of food even more. My top 3 food is steak, kimchi, and Lucky Charms.

Hi, I’m Maddie and I’m the Culinary Director for Crème! I’m a junior from Syracuse, NY, majoring in food science. Food has always been one of my favorite ways to connect and make memories with people, so I am excited to share this passion through Crème. From recipe testing to eating at my favorite restaurants, I am always excited for good food (especially sweet treats). Outside of Crème, I love thrifting, watching movies, crocheting, and listening to music!

Hi everyone! I'm Alexis, the treasurer of Créme. I'm a junior in the hotel school and am from Englewood Cliffs, NJ. I've always had a passion for food, especially baking, so I love everything from testing recipes to trying new restaurants. Some of my other hobbies include tennis, skiing, and pickleball. I love to travel and spend time with friends too. Excited to get to know everyone and to see what we accomplish this year!

Hi!! I’m Elle - one of the Events Chairs at Crème. I’m a junior studying Design + Environmental Analysis, and I’m from the Bay Area and Tokyo. I love picnics, beach bonfires with s’mores, and nighttime baking- I’m always putting together food related activities :) In my free time I listen to lots of music, go out with friends, and walk around Ithaca’s Farmers Market!!

Hello food lovers! I'm Brian, and I'm from NYC. I recently graduated from Cornell with a degree in Health Care Policy. I can bake a pretty solid matcha cheesecake and make a steak dinner for three (true story). My top-rated meal on Beli was when I had (properly done) Southern fried chicken in New Orleans with a side of fried okra, beans, and slaw. And regarding websites, I have absolutely zero formal computer science training—just a geek with free time 🤓.
